Cristina is a native of Chicago, IL. She started her childcare career back in 2013 after receiving her Bachelor degree in Psychology. Cristina volunteered at a Hyde Park community center for Early Childhood Messy Art drop-in classes during the summer and was hired as a Teacher’s Assistant for their Afterschool Program in the fall. In addition to assisting in the classroom, Cristina continued to lead Messy Art classes for 0-3 and school aged held at the center. She also helped to coordinate special events/ holiday celebrations for both programs.

 
Over the years, Cristina grew within the organization as a teacher and front desk receptionist until she went back to teaching in daycare. She has also managed to juggle multitude of other babysitting gigs, all while continuing to gain more experience within the Early Childhood field as an Early Childhood Program Manager. Cristina holds her Master in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Social and Emotional Learning. Currently, she works full-time as a Family Support Specialist for Head Start and is super thrilled to join the Bubbles Academy team as the new 900 Weekend Coordinator.

 
Outside of working directly with children and families, Cristina enjoys spending time and making memories with her daughters and family, taking vacations and visiting new places. She also enjoys listening to music and exploring Pinterest for fascinating activities/projects for her children to do at home and to incorporate in her roles.
