Melissa grew up with a paintbrush in her hand. From an early age she had an interest in creating, whether it was baking and sewing with her grandmother or doing art at home with her mom.

Melissa graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Art Education and later earned her ESL endorsement from National Louis University. After 13 years teaching in schools across Chicagoland, she founded her mobile art studio, FindYourNiche.

Melissa’s teaching philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia pedagogy and her time spent in Italy experiencing this child-centered approach to early childhood education.

Melissa loves teaching early childhood classes at Bubbles and believes every child (and adult) is an artist. As a mom of two young daughters, Melissa aims to create a safe space where caregivers can experience the magic of making art, music and memories with their little ones.
